[ That.. is certainly an unexpected call she's suddenly getting - especially when she hears the content of said call. Minako isn't oblivious enough to miss that hint to his tone that indicates he's drunk, and then there's the words he's saying on top of it. ]
Yes, of course I'm here.
[ She frowns as she listens to his voice. ]
What happened..? Who left? [ He sounds so weirdly upset - especially by Ren standards. She hasn't seen him do anything but smile before, right? ]
[ It's a small noise. At first Minako says nothing more, because she's trying to think really quickly here of what to tell him. What might comfort him. Especially when she knows that this is a problem she can't help - that people seem to appear and disappear without rhyme or reason, without any way to say goodbye.
She holds her breath before slowly exhaling. ]
I'm sorry.. Are you feeling sad? Are you alone right now..?
[ Unless he already did, and they argued or something. Minako is really hoping that isn't the case - even though it feels weird to her that Ren missed such an obvious solution to his problem. Sure, it might not take away the fear of eventually being all alone, but.. ]
Wouldn't that be a nice reminder that you're not alone right now..?
a few days before the winter solstice, text: un; gentlerose
[ It's a little surprising - but not in a bad way! After all, Minako just knows Usagi will be so happy to see Mamoru. And whenever Usagi is happy, Minako is glad as well. ]
you should've given me a bit more preparation time!! i could've set up something super romantic for you two!!!
but i guess i can at least still do something on a smaller scale. i have an entire place of potential romantic locations in this place, you know!
wow, was there a moment to think of good old minako??
[ She's teasing. Just teasing.
Though she is sometimes a bit of a third wheel to the lovebirds, especially with all their other friends having left this place again already.. but Minako doesn't truly mind it. She's here to accomodate! ]
i hope it's a good reward, something worthy of the cost of the services of the goddess of love and beauty herself....
[ A small package arrives at her place on the morning of Christmas. Inside is a music box with two loves dancing when you open it. The tune is romantic and there is "Never Give Up On Love" written on the box's lid. Somehow, rather than being a man and a woman dancing as you'd expect, the two dancers seem to be women...
There is a poem on the card, about love and dreams. It's signed by Monika. ]
[ It's a ditzy sort of surprise, seemingly. The kind that fits Minako's exterior attitude.
But in all actuality, she's surprised on a deeper level like that. Just seeing this text hits her feelings in an odd, unexpected way. She only talked to Amy once - and does remember who the other is, thankfully - and yet the other is already giving her a gift??
That's.. wild. Not in a bad way! But wild all the same, and Minako certainly is more touched than she's showing. ]
of course, i'm always available for gifts!!!! should i come somewhere?
[ In Amy's mind, Minako is either an actual goddess and in which case deserves tribute, or just a beautiful girl who values love and beauty and therefore still deserves something nice. Either way, she left quite an impression on Amy at the party, and Amy wanted to treat her. ]
I can meet you! I think Monika said she was staying with you, and gave me your address. Is it okay if I drop by really quick?
[ So Amy knows Monika as well, huh? It's kind of unsurprising to Minako - Monika does seem like she's quite the social butterfly in her own way, and if both her and Amy are that way, of course they'd inevitably meet at some point.
Nor does it bother Minako at all that Amy already knows her address, honestly. Cute girls are always allowed to visit! Even when they are instead.. cute.. hedgehog girls. Hey, Minako won't judge. ]
of course!! are you going to stop by right now? just so i can make sure to actually be home! [ Since Minako is out and about a lot. ]
[ And, true to word, Minako is right there. By the time Amy shows up and knocks on the door, Minako is already there to open it, a big smile on her face. ]
[ She smiles. It almost feels a little odd to celebrate these things so far away from home.. But then again, maybe it's the best thing they can do to make this place feel a little bit like home after all. Especially if - coincidentally enough - they apparently share the same holidays in their worlds. ]
Or should we call it something like Avalonmas here? Camelotmas? [ Minako is obviously joking around, judging by her facial expression and her tone. ]
[ Minako's jaw drops - not to the floor, necessarily, but still a bit! - when she suddenly sees that basket. Her eyes are basically shining. ]
Wow, you made so many..! [ She's guessing Amy really must be the social type, if she apparently had this many people to make cookies for.. ] Can I just pick whichever cookie I want?
[ Amy laughs, placing the basket in Minako's hands. ] They're all for you, silly! Of course, since there's so many, you can pick whatever ones you like, and share the rest with other friends if you wanted.
[ Call Minako silly, sure, because she truly didn't seem to expect that! She's looking at Amy, totally stunned. At least she does manage to hold onto the basket without dropping it, but she still looks like she was totally caught off guard just now. ]
Hey, hey, didn't we just meet the other day? Is it really alright to give me this much? [ Sure, Minako is an overly friendly girl herself.
But she never really expects people to do things for her. On a joking level, sure, but never when she's actually serious about it. So this? It baffles her. In a good way, but.. still. ]
