She can't just say someone important and leave it at that since she already did and Rin is still wondering. She can't reveal her secret fully either, but just saying Serenity is her best friend's aunt doesn't really portray the full extent of just how much she's responsible.

Maybe she can tell Rin just a little, she figures. She trusts him, and if she just leaves out the most secret parts-- ]

Yeah. [ She stares at her phone a little wistfully. ] More important than a lot of things.

[ All the things she gave up on back home since she knew she couldn't have them anyway - her other friends, the possibility for love, every single on of her dreams. It's what makes Serenity's presence here so intimidating to her, since she finally did build up a more or less normal life here, and she's not too sure if she can still keep it up. ]
