[ Makoto, you're the least subtle guy ever... Minako can totally see through this, but since she's a merciful goddess, she can go along with pretending this isn't obvious for as long as it's convenient to her. ]
You're writing a love story? That's so cool, Makoto-kun! You could say I'm the expert when it comes to that sort of thing, so go ahead, ask me! I'm all bears! [ "ears"... ]
something like that? i want to make it sort of realistic so i wanna choose holly heights as the setting... thanks for being all bears! [HAHA.. MINAKO BEING CUTE..SUP....] what do you reckon are good places for a date here? let's say one of my characters is really uh romantic
Hmm... Well, it's always really obvious at these kind of moments just how much it sucks that this place doesn't have a beach! A real beach, I mean, not one that just pops up for a month and then disappears again.
Maybe it depends more on what kind of romantic feeling you're going for? Something more dramatic and classical could be going to the cathedral together and, while standing under the moonlight pouring in from the stained glass window, you lean closer to your lover and whisper.. one day, the two of us will be standing here, getting married too..
Ah, no way, no way, I'd die from my heart pounding so hard if I read something like that!
marriage isn't an option in this story..? i mean! the characters would be starting to uh go out so it would have to be a place for first dates! somewhere fancy? a dinner?? hmmm
If they're the classy types, then I'd definitely go with a dinner! You should definitely include all the classic tropes in that case too though, like candlelight and maybe some sort of romantic music playing.. violins, maybe? Although a piano is the new and more modern classy variation!
It's those kind of subtle but important details that make or break a love scene, Makoto-kun!! Don't disappoint the readers!
candlelight and music, okay what would you say about flowers? roses might be too much too soon there's probably a variation for more subtle meaning ones not a bouquet either... what about clothes??
Both flowers and clothes depend on the sort of tone or atmosphere you want to get across! Is it formal or informal? A deep passionate love or something a little lighter? It's the nuances that bring it to life to make it the perfect description of a date!
[ Soon she'll be Minako Aino: official wedding planner, lbr ]
i'm hoping it's not something very light... uh i mean figure it's been about three months of actual dating but they're also really good friends for years before that so really just hanging out but showing about caring deeply for the other... is what i'd want to set across on the date **in the writing
Then you probably shouldn't go too formal with the clothes.. just whatever they'd be most comfortable in without looking like a total slob, I guess? And I think candles might work a little better than flowers! Unless one of them is a flower enthusiast, at least.
It seems pretty complicated for a writing exercise though.. is your teacher a romance expert?? Can I meet them??
oh if you really wanted to? though why would you do that when rin works at moe moe and he's a romance expert right? haha.. i just want to make sure this is as realistic as possible!
Rin-kun isn't an expert of anything but [ not recognizing choice booty ] acting like a huge tsundere.
But you know, I say a lot of that kind of stuff usually, but.. when it comes down to it, you should just go with what feels the most natural to write, Makoto-kun. Romance is no good if it doesn't come from the heart, you know? You won't get anywhere with just tricks someone else makes up.
I don't really think I have any kind of preference. Maybe it's since I'm the goddess of love and all, but I think I can find something romantic in anything, you know? Hong Kong took me out fishing once.
Don't get any weird ideas, Makoto-kun, it's totally not normal.. I don't think most people would enjoy it, it's just that I enjoy doing pretty much anything with him. It's actually more fun when we do something weird normal people wouldn't do.
[ because they're two weirdos dating, basically. ]
[oh my god okay he has to break, he can't believe this, these two weirdos are pretty similar to what he and rin are up to-- woah, geez. he needs guidance. does he dokidoki rin or does he doki-the-ever-loving-fuckin-doki out of rin?]
ah it's not weird it's just i went on a date recently... fishing.. to the lake, too uhm i had tons of fun and especially because it was us doing that help i htink im really really falling in deeewp
It's okay, Makoto-kun!!! You know you never have to lie to me, I'm super kind and discreet about these things, right? :)
[ Yeah, sure, Minako.. although she tries to at least be a little more sensitive about the truly important things. Like this. ]
I wouldn't make fun of you over something like that!! I'd just wish you a lot of fun on your date.. they sure are a lucky person, I'm almost jealous, hehe!
right. you think they are? i feel lucky being able to date them instead.. um so i went to a fishing date recently.. it was really nice? i don't know how to make anything better than that i thought of going to the amusement park
The amusement park's a pretty fun and common dating spot! There's so many opportunities lying in wait, after all.. kissing when you're all the way on top in the ferris wheel, sharing cotton candy together.. ah, to be young and in love..!
[ Minako "there's no such thing as too personal" Aino for life.. although she did sort of take Hong Kong's kiss virgnity, so.. maybe it shouldn't be as natural as she presents it now.. ]
Why are you asking? Or are you curious if we've gone all the way?
.. although I guess they aren't all that juicy. I mean, we usually kiss when we're together somewhere and we're feeling good? The location doesn't really matter, unless you're trying to reenact some sort of scene from a shoujo manga to heighten the feeling or whatever.
[ She's still an expert on doing that even if she hasn't much here.. Minako has about 5,000 shoujo manga scenarios memorized just for this purpose. Probably. ]
