That's exactly like Rapunzel!! I mean, if you wanted to know more about the world, couldn't you just have left the castle and gone out there to see what it's like among the people? [ That's exactly what Minako's own handful of a princess was like, after all.. ]
Rapunzel is the story of a girl with very long hair who lives in a tower with a witch. I lived in a castle. My hair is long, but not long enough to use as a ladder. There were no witches either, nor was I named after a vegetable.
And I could have left. It just did not occur to me at the time.
Hey, the small details don't matter, you're missing the point!!
Besides, how come it never occurred to you? Are you saying you were so perfectly fine with living so far away from everything and everyone that you didn't even think about it? [ Because it sure isn't anything Minako could see herself ever being content with, really. ]
It's just.. I think that if I'd be in that position, I'd be longing for something more if I knew it was out there. I don't think I could stand staring at the same four walls for too long.
I suppose that is because we are not the same person, is that not the case? Personally, I do not mind the same walls, because there is nothing similar about them at all. Each day brings something different, and I treasured them.
But I am not the same as I was one year ago. If it were up to me now, I would not have stayed, because I know now that I can leave, that marriage is not the only way.
Yeah, we're just about as far apart as you can get.
[ She'll admit that one, at least.. especially when the other girl can't even understand something as important as attraction that's going on constantly in Minako's life. ]
At least you're out of your castle now. Even if it's just thanks to the Landlord.
[She was kind of too preoccupied with her quest to save the country to notice something like attraction. She has terrible priorities, obviously.]
There is that, at least. Although I hardly think I would thank him. Perhaps the next time he gives us gifts.
[She'd use that opportunity to send him back his cookies, bottles, keys or macarons or whatever he sends her. Have fun simultaneously growing bunny ears, sticking to walls, speaking in Yiddish and falling in love with a zombie NPC, Landlord.]

[For one she'd never been able to grow her hair that long and she hadn't been sold for lettuce.]
The castle is remote and it is difficult for us to receive books, and not many go there either so I cannot get information from them.

And it never occurred to me because everything and everyone I wanted by my side were already there with me so I never thought of leaving.
