I am afraid that I do not know. Also keeping a snake in one's pants seems unnecessarily cruel to the snake.

[ Does she just.. not.. know anatomy.. Not being physically attracted to people is one thing, but this goes far beyond asexual and all the way into "where were you doing sex ed class". ]

[Anatomy was the study of priests, and squires do not make reference to anatomy in front of the princess unless they want a sword to the groin courtesy of Veronica's guard, Rida. (Well, okay, maybe not a sword to the groin. But there would be Words and a training session where any thought of talking to the princess of anatomy would be thoroughly kicked out of them.)

And sex ed was one of those things that everyone assumed would happen. At some point.]

Sure, but what if they want to have a kid?

[This was around the part where her maids gave up and told her that they were sure she and Eugene would...figure...something out.]

See, this is important to know!! What if you want to have babies later on? You're not going to know what to do..! You'll just stare out of the window all day, waiting for the stork to arrive!

It's this fake story people made up about how babies are born. Parents tell their curious kids that babies are delivered by storks.. who'd ever believe a lame story like that?

[protectthecastle]

Where would they get them in the first place? And can they lift a baby? If the robotic babies from school were any judge, they can be quite heavy.

Exactly, that's why the story is full of holes and no one could believe it!! They only made up this story since most kids are naive and don't think about stuff like that.. how cruel, taking advantage of the imagination of the young! I won't stand for it!

[ this is like three inches away from being a sailor soldier speech.. ]

[Veronica's not sure what that says about her since she would definitely not have believed it as a child. And she'd ask to weigh a baby. And then she'd plan to catch a stork in order to see how much it could actually lift.

She was a difficult child.]

But surely if they had imagination, they would be able to see that there are holes in the story.

That's not how imagination works though! That's more how logical reasoning works? Anyway, exactly because kids have imagination, they imagine it's possible! Just like how they believe in stuff like the tooth fairy and Santa Claus.

[ Hoping she isn't accidentally helping Veronica out of any illusions here.. but she didn't seem that young anymore, it should be fine!! ]

Hey, what kind of weird place is it that you come from?

[ A place both without imagination and without sex ed.. Minako's not too sure how to feel about this, really. ]

It is a country named Zerestria. And may I ask why you think it is weird?

I've seen a lot of people from really weird places here, but even most of them knew about these sort of things! I thought they were a consistency across different worlds, so maybe yours is just an abnormality.. [ or minako just hasn't met the right people yet, lbr. ]

[protectthecastle]

I could not say if it is an abnormality or not. We cannot get new information at the castle and there is much that I do not know so I am not sure if you should be using my knowledge as indication of what Zerestria is like.

What do you mean, you can't get new information? Are you like Rapunzel or something?

[ .. wait, that is the one locked in a tower, right? She's not sure anymore. ]

No. I do not think I am like Rapunzel at all.

[For one she'd never been able to grow her hair that long and she hadn't been sold for lettuce.]

The castle is remote and it is difficult for us to receive books, and not many go there either so I cannot get information from them.

That's exactly like Rapunzel!! I mean, if you wanted to know more about the world, couldn't you just have left the castle and gone out there to see what it's like among the people? [ That's exactly what Minako's own handful of a princess was like, after all.. ]

[protectthecastle]

Rapunzel is the story of a girl with very long hair who lives in a tower with a witch. I lived in a castle. My hair is long, but not long enough to use as a ladder. There were no witches either, nor was I named after a vegetable.

And I could have left. It just did not occur to me at the time.

Hey, the small details don't matter, you're missing the point!!

Besides, how come it never occurred to you? Are you saying you were so perfectly fine with living so far away from everything and everyone that you didn't even think about it? [ Because it sure isn't anything Minako could see herself ever being content with, really. ]
