[ It takes a moment before the next text arrives. Because Minako sucks terribly at talking about any actual troubling feelings she might ever have, even though boxing them up is just about the worst thing to do, especially here. So she hesitates, but then can't help but think maybe it's okay to talk about it exactly because she doesn't know him very well yet. Less judgement to fear. ]
Well.. Can I tell you about something really stupid that it kind of made me think of? Real quick?
I did go on dates here. But when someone asked me to start dating for real after one of them, I just.. started crying and feeling really sad? I didn't even know why. It was super weird!
[ Thank god it's so much easier to downplay it over text. ]
Do you think that's normal for shinki? Because we don't have our memories from life?
I really thought I did when he asked, but now I'm not so sure anymore. I think I don't. Thinking about cute guys and girls is fine and all, but the moment it gets too close to thinking about actually dating, I start feeling all weird.
Hey, so, that's all right. It doesn't matter why you feel that way, if you don't want to actually date you don't have to.
[He wonders if it's possible, for shinki to miss somebody they've left behind without remembering they're missing them. He hasn't, himself, except for the formless loneliness of just not having anyone who really knows him around.
And he's working on that. It's fine. She'll be fine too, once she's had some time.]
Take it at your own pace.
And tell me if he tries to pressure you, I'll pop him one right in the kisser.
Wow, I never knew you had that kind of big brother side to you!
[ Maybe she's trying to bend the subject just a little bit, since talking about it too much just makes her feel worse, but it's also just to say she's actually glad to hear that. ]
You've got a standing wedding invite, so that makes you honorary family, right, little sister?
[He'd also break the nose of any dude who was trying to pressure a high school girl into a relationship, on general principles, but this can go unstated.
[ That does actually sound a little nice to hear, jokingly or not. Minako smiles at her phone. ]
I'll accept that! You'll have to be careful though, because your little sister is super popular. [ Maybe in your dreams, Minako. Maybe in your dreams. ]

Not like that has to be a date, but shinki like us, we've gotten a second chance. We can't waste it on nothing but work.

I don't know about normal for shinki, but I can think of a lot of reasons why that could be upsetting, sure.
Do you want to date whoever it is for real?

Anyway -- thanks again for helping me out with this, Minako. He likes me! I owe you.

[ Jokingly, of course.. ]
I'm sure I'll talk to you again soon, bye for now!
