It's wrapped in very shiny paper and tied off with a big bow, though the card attached is fairly simple by comparison - lacking any kitschy hallmark jokes or quotes espousing hope or love in the holiday season to simply say instead:

So i'd been hoping to put this off longer but I guess it's full disclosure time. I knew it was going to come eventually, you deserve to know.

If I'd have to point out something though, I'd say that maybe this is a case of him being sensitive towards the subject of addiction? It's a pretty bad big deal for some people.

In-Person, After the Volcano

[The effort had split them apart, each of them needing to take care of their own thing despite how valiantly they'd fought against the encroaching lava. But Edge hadn't forgotten -- how could he forget? -- what he wanted to ask, and so he sent her a message as the crisis slowly ground to a stop, asking her to meet him at one of the fountains in the Central district.]

[So there he went, sooty and smoky but not harmed after everything, and exhausted but smiling beneath his mask nonetheless.]

[ Of course Minako hasn't forgotten. She hadn't forgotten even before she received the message - after all, a promise is a promise. Even though she definitely got distracted going up the vulcano with Zelda, she thought about Edge still wanting to talk to her as soon as they were done there.

And even though the day has taken its toll on her slightly, making her feel physically exhausted, she does come over to the fountain.

She slowly raises her arm to wave at him as she approaches, even if the gesture itself is also a little tired. ]

Hey! I made it!

I knew you would.

[Edge stands up as she approaches, a little wobbly but determined nonetheless, and takes a couple of steps towards her. His hands go up as he does, offering them for her to take.]

[ It's a pretty exciting text to get - for one since she hasn't seen any shinki around her regain memories like this, so it's a first, but also just since she thinks it's really sweet he remembered their promise to tell each other. ]
